     A young Timiquan Indian girl grows up in St Augustine, Florida, in the early 1700s in the Spanish mission village of Nombre De Dios.      The young girl is separated from her family and raised by Bill Brewer (Bubba Beatty), an illegal tradesman who makes his living trading with pirates to give the town needed supplies. Onyx (Alicia Hanley) grows into a determined and unwavering young woman who embarks on a journey that will not only change her life, but also unite her with historical characters Anne Bonny, Mary Read, Calico Jack, and James Bonny, all pirates who roamed the seas during the golden age of piracy.
